Position to the Sun. It is important to consider which way the skylight will be facing. South-facing skylights will be prone to overheating a room whereas north-facing skylights will give you a soft continuous light throughout the day.
Skylight Size. Think of your skylight as an investment. You’re already spending time and money to put in a skylight, so make it worthwhile to maximize the benefit of installing one. The extra cost of the glass will be worth it in the end.
